Research shows moderate coffee drinking could reduce the chances of developing preventable liver damage.

“We did the Perk Up event as we wanted patients and other members of staff to be more aware of our research team and also to help raise money for a great charity that focus on patients with various forms of liver disease. We were able to share our personal stories with patients and other colleagues of how we raised money for the British Liver Trust previously by doing the marathon and half marathon to encourage people to hopefully do the same in the future”

Ellie, Loren and Denise, as well as other members of the Hepatology department at John Radcliffe Hospital raised a wonderful £180 on the day, on top of their previous marathon and half marathon sponsorship fundraising in 2018 – go team Hepatology!
